Hi everyone!
My name is Noor and I'm a second year medical student at Western University. I completed my bachelor's in Genetics at Western and my masters in global health at Schulich. Getting into medical school, especially when you don't have anyone in your immediate circle who knows the process, can be difficult. I'm looking towards providing mentorship in this process but also help you highlight the unique experiences that make you, YOU.
It took me two cycles (the first cycle with 0 interviews) to get into medical school in Canada. After working on my writing style, connecting with mentors and more prep, I had interviews both at Queens and Western. I was also accepted to multiple American medical schools.
Beyond medicine, I am deeply passionate about mentorship, both academically and athletically. I currently head coach and run a regional volleyball program, where I work closely with young athletes to develop not only their technical skills but also their confidence, resilience, and leadership. Coaching has reinforced my belief in the power of guidance and community, and I strive to bring that same level of support and encouragement to aspiring medical students as they navigate their own paths.
If you have many "non-traditional" experiences that you don't know how to word or showcase, I'm here to help. I'm excited to get started on this platform and help you achieve your goals!
