Hi! My name is Negar, and I am a medical student at the University of Toronto, with an offer from UofA MD as well. Prior to this, I completed my undergraduate degree in life sciences at UofT and my master's degree in biomedical technology. I have a variety of experiences involving mentorship, especially within Casper practices, resume and cover letter building, interviewing skills, as well as application processes. I scored 4th quartile on Casper and can help you succeed! I applied to 3 Canadian Med schools, interviewed at 2, and was accepted into both!
I started taking on research projects early on in my undergrad, starting from the summer after my second year, and my latest job was also in clinical research. Additionally, being an immigrant and experiencing the difficulties of adapting to a new life and learning a new language made me deeply passionate about joining organizations for newcomer and immigrant students and cultural associations throughout undergrad. Outside of medicine, I really enjoy nature photography, playing tennis, going out for a run, and reading novels.
I received a lot of mentorship from medical students throughout my application process, which I believe contributed to my success. As a result, I'm super enthusiastic about providing mentorship and support for application editing, Casper prep, interview prep, and other general consultations such as undergrad workload and graduate program applications.
I've been lucky to be able to mentor students with their applications and interviews on AcceptedTogether over the year, and I am extremely grateful to see many of them obtain their acceptance!
In the past cycle (2024-2025), I helped 10 students get into UofT med, 5 students into TMU med, 4 students into UofA med, and 1 students into McMaster.
In the 2023-2024, I helped 6 students get into UofT med, 2 students into McMaster med, 1 into Western med, and 2 students into UofA med.

I paid for the ABS entries package since I wanted to understand where I can improve my entries' descriptions. Negar provided clear feedback on my document, pointing out where I can change sentences or where I should go a little more in depth. During our live session, she further explained her feedback to ensure I understood what I can improve or keep, as well as answered any questions I may have during the session. Even with just 30 minutes together, she made sure that I left the session feeling more confident in what I needed to work on. If you are currently working on your ABS entries for OMSAS and are unsure how to write them or what needs to be improved, then I highly recommend Negar as your mentor! She is kind and knowledgeable! :)
