Hi! My name is Jazz and I am a fourth year medical student at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. I started off my journey to medicine in high school applying to BSM (Bachelor Science to Medicine) programs that afford the luxury to focus on what you love to study versus being focused on worried on getting into medical school. I've worked with many students on how they can let their personality shine through their applications because in many of the admission committees that I have worked on, we are not looking for the smartest applicant, we are looking for the best fit. A doctor who can't work with a patient is just a textbook and your goal is to show you can read the books but not become one!
