About Me
Hi! My name is Janis and I am a third year veterinary student at the Ontario Veterinary College. I completed my undergraduate degree in Animal Biology at the University of Guelph. I have always wanted to pursue a career dedicated to animals, and with my passion for science and solving complex problems, I knew veterinary medicine was the right path for me. Outside of school, I love to do puzzles, read, travel, and spend time with family and friends.

I have always wanted to pursue a career dedicated to animals, and with my passion for science and solving complex problems, I knew veterinary medicine was the right path for me. Outside of school, I love to do puzzles, read, travel, and spend time with family and friends.
Going through the application process first hand, I know how scary and overwhelming it can be. However, gaining support from family and friends, as well as seeking help and advice from mentors who experienced this process really helped ease a lot of anxieties that I had. I am so grateful and excited to share my experiences and help you reach your professional goals as a veterinarian!
The most important tip I can give is to be yourself!! Applying to vet school can seem daunting and it can get really easy to compare yourself to others and start to doubt your application and your abilities. However, there is no "right" way to get into vet school. Staying true to yourself and talking about the experiences you are most passionate about will really allow you to stand out and shine throughout your application and interview!
Please feel free to message me to schedule a one-on-one consultation for any of the services provided on my profile. I look forward to working with you!

Katie Janis was absolutely amazing and such a friendly person! She had lots of valuable tips and feedback during our mock interviews. Her questions were very beneficial for helping me practice thinking on the spot and comparable to the actual interview questions! She made a world of a difference in my interview skills and made me feel much more confident going in! And thanks to her I did end up getting accepted!

Janis is a rockstar! She made me feel comfortable and more confident about my interview. Running a mock interview with her was sooo valuable before the real thing - especially when she asked me a question I hadn't prepared for! Her insight and advice on structuring responses helped me figure out an approach that worked for me. Thanks for your help Janis!
